Molly- Molly is by far my most favorite bird! She was my first chicken and looks like a basketball with feathers. Her breed is the Black Cochin, and in 2008 she won best of show in the Bolton Fair. She has hatched out numerous broods of baby chicks.
Rose- Rose is a purebred Rhode Island Red and by far my best layer, even at her age of 5. She, too, is a great show bird and has one 5 first places and one Reserve Champion at the Sterling Fair.
Cocoa & Brownie- Cocoa and Brownie are actually my couisin's chickens that I am caring for this winter. They are both Black Australorps and I can't tell them apart- besides the fact that Brownie has clipped wings. Shown below is Brownie
Hansel & Gretel- These birds, too, I can't tell apart. They are mixed breed Bantams and lay teenie-tiny white eggs. About three of these mini eggs equals 2 normal eggs.
Patch- Patch is a pretty Silver Laced Wyandotte that is inseperable with her "sister" Phoenix. She lays fairly large brown eggs and has never been to a show.
Phoenix- Phoenix is a New Hampshire Red/ Americauna mix, with New Hampshire feathers and Americauna legs. She and her best friend Patch were born and raised together.

I have a question- where are some reputable sources to buy baby chicks?
